Tonka Truck Fun: Challenge Heaven Ebony/Ivory Challenge

I am really happy with the way this LO came together.
The yellow and white really focus the eye on the truck.
The circles at the top were punched out of best Creation Inc paper.
I am loving there Transportation range.
Perfect for little boy pages and they have some sparkle on them too.

This was done for the Ebony/Ivory Challenge over at Challenge Heaven.
If you need some inspiration or want to give the challenges a go,
the June ones will be up tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Monday and thanks for looking.

Adore Your Smile

I love this photo of Renee smiling. She has the sweetest smile.
She was sitting in her swing for this photo, which she just loves.

This layout was done for another one of the challenges over at Challenge Heaven.
And yes, it was quite a challenge. It called for 5 scalloped pieces of patterned paper, 4 sticker embellishments, 3 word title, 2 leaves and 1 button.
WOW. That's a lot to get on one page, but I am happy with the result.

I love this paper from Stampin Up. The colours are so bright and perfect for girl pages.

Thanks for looking.

Challenge Heaven Colour Challenge

The colour challenge was to use Black, Grey and Orange.
I have had this photo lying around for ages and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.
I even got my cuttlebug out which has been collecting dust on my shelf
as I haven't used it in quite a while.

Thanks for looking

Sibling Love: Challenge Heaven Sketch Challenge

I love the memory of this photo. Renee was crawling over Dillon and I quickly grabbed the camera and snapped some shots of the two of them.
Looks like their cuddling.

This is for the Sketch challenge over at Challenge Heaven.
I am enjoying the challenges there and it is helping me to get my head into scrapbooking.
The paper is Daisy D which I have had for ages. Great to finally be using my paper stash.

Thanks for looking.

Gotta Love Mud: Challenge Heaven Quote Challenge

Above photo: close up of distressing done to the paper.
I had heaps of fun doing this.

I love this photo of Dillon.
He was playing with the hose one summer's day
and got it a bit too close to the ground and splosh...
dirt all over his face and body.

I created the layout for Challenge Heaven's May Challenges.
This one is for the quote challenge - Gotta Love.
I love how this page came together. Simple but effective.

Have a wonderful Friday.
Swimming lessons with the kids today.
Although it's getting too cold to be in bathers.
Thank goodness the water is heated.

Finally Done.

I glossy accented the heart.

Close up photos of the rolled edging.

This layout has been a major work in progress. I originally started to do it for the April challenge over at Challenge Heaven, but because I have been away and been sick the last couple of weeks I have not gotten around to completing it.
Yesterday I finally sat down and finished it... Yeah!
This is my son Dillon who is now nearly four.
It was taken when he was about 3 months old and I love his big beautiful smile. So gorgeous.

Thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday 140

I have been wanting to participate in Mojo Monday for quite a while now and finally I sat down and created my husbands birthday card using the sketch.
I put it on it's side though as the bike image worked better that way.
I am really into distressing and inking my papers at the moment and I think it works well for the more masculine card.
Isn't it funny how we go through stages of using certain techniques etc.
Or maybe that's just me, LOL.

Have a fabulous Thursday.
Thanks for looking,

Dahlia with Bling

I made this sweet card for my wonderful friend who I visited in Karratha to say thank you.
We had the best time together and it was so nice to have a good break away from Perth and the little ones. I missed them heaps though and my DH too.

This is The Greeting Farm image: Dahlia (Wild Sprouts).
I love the colours and the Kaisercraft bling. These are the best rhinestones I have ever used. So easy to apply and use. But I am sure you all ready know that.

The patterned paper is also from Kaisercraft: Esmerelda from their Gypsy sisters collection. Such beautiful rich colours.

Have a fabulous day and thanks heaps for looking.

Surfing into 18

My nephew turned 18 on Sunday and we celebrated with the family over brunch. Yum!!
I made this card for him and chose to use this surfer image from SU as he loves surfing and got a surfboard for his birthday too.
I have had the metal letter embellishments for ages, so it is good to finally be using them.
I quite like the way this card turned out. Lots of distressing and inking edges of paper.

Thanks for looking.

Bright and Cheerful

I made this card for my sister's birthday.
I love the simplicity of this card and the bright colours.
The paper has been in my stash for a couple of years now and I think it is Basic grey Phoebe.
The greeting Farm stamp is Birthday Anya and coloured her in a mix of Copics and SU markers. Still building up my range of Copic colours. Could take a while. LOL.
The buttons, sentiment and ribbon are all SU.
I pleated the ribbon to add more interest and detail.

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Four generations of Mothers and Daughters

I completed my first ever scrapbook page for my mum and framed it in a white shadow box.
She absolutely loved it. The photos represent four generations of women in our family: my nana, mum, me and my daughter Renee.
Sorry the photo is not the best. It's a bit dark so you can't really see all the detail on the page. I cut out extra flowers and vines from the paper and added them down the left side. I also punched out butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch and glittered them to add even more bling and prettiness.

I chose to use purples and pinks for the colour scheme as these are mums favourite colours.
Loving this printed paper from Basic grey: Green at Heart Kelly.
Lots of prima flowers, pretty rub-ons and bling.

Thanks for taking a look.
Have a wonderful day.

Mother's Day card and gift.

We celebrated Mother's Day a week late with my mum as she was away in Broome holidaying with my sister. A tough life I tell you. LOL.
So on Sunday we had lunch at mum and dad's. Seriously though it was good to get an extra week to finish mum's gift which I will share next post.

Here is the card I made for mum. She loves pinks and purples so I chose to use mainly purples and white on this one. The image is Sarah Kay: Precious Moments.
The paper is some old SU that I had in my stash and the sentiment is from SU too.

Thanks for looking

Sweet One

I made this card just for fun which is very rare for me. I just about always have a reason to make a card whether for someone's birthday or wedding and so on.
But I bought this image not long ago and just had to ink her up. Isn't she sweet!
She is Hope and Grace Snuggle from The Greeting Farm.
The paper is Flutter from Making memories. I cut out the butterflies and added glossy accent to follow the theme of the printed paper and the gorgeous flowers are from Prima.

This will be perfect for a little girls first or second birthday and I have a few of those coming up.

Thanks for looking.
Take care

Busy, busy, cough, cough.

It's been a while since my last post and as I type away on my trusty laptop I am coughing my little lungs out. I am so over this cold.
It has been a very busy few weeks here. I spent 10 days up North visiting a friend, which was incredible. My DH took time off work to take care of our two beautiful kids so I could go up, visit my friend and have some much needed rest and feel human again. This last week I have been house bound with a cold that has affected me terribly and now I have that awful sounding hacking cough. Can't wait till I feel back to normal again.
I have been busy creating so I will post these over the next couple of days.

Take care
