Non-traditional Wedding Card

A friend of my DH asked me to make a card for their neighbours who are getting married on Saturday. They live on a farm so that was to be the theme and as you can see from the card specific items to be added to make it special and personalised for this couple.
These are the ring top, golf buggy and plane.

I made the card into an easel so that they could stand the card easily and when it is closed they are not able to see the plane and other bits till they open the card. Thus being a surprise.

I added kindy glitz to the lettering and pearls for the flower centres and ribbon to make it more into the wedding type card it is meant to be and pretty it up.

I love how the red heart came out. It was a chipboard one that I coloured with SU markers and then glossy accented. I also glossied the golf buggy but you can't tell from the photo.

Thanks for looking

First Sketch Challenge Ever

This is the first time I have ever done a Sketch Challenge and I completed this one for Challenge Heaven. Go on over and check them out. Every month they have seven new challenges, which is great for me as I am still new at scrapbooking.

This layout is of Dillon at 14 months, he is now 3 and a half so I am just a little behind in my scrapbooking efforts. I made it quite simple with some Stampin Up and Bazill papers. I had originally laid the ribbon flat but it was too boring so decided to pinch it together and distress the paper underneath more.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Sweet Treats and Happy Easter

I love making little gift boxes and bags, and these sweet little Easter baskets are no exception.
You can find the tutorial here from Splitcoast stampers.
I just changed the measurements slightly to make the basket larger.

These will be a nice surprise for my family today as we are not supposed to give Easter presents to the adults. However, as I am the only one with littlies I feel like I need to give something small to say thank you. Plus Dillon who is only 3 and a half, will feel special handing these baskets out.

Thanks for looking.
Enjoy the rest of your Easter break and eat lots of choccie.

Fad of the moment: colouring

Another Greeting Farm image, I think she is Savannah.
I am so into colouring at the moment and these stamps are my absolute favourite to colour.
They are so adorable.

I wanted to make the layout of my card a little different so I used the half circle from a scrap of paper and then added the scallop edge.
I just love this printed paper from Kaisercraft from their Gypsy Sisters Collection: Esmeralda.
The colours are so rich and vibrant.

Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for looking.

The Cutest Fellow Around

This sweet little man is Hello Ian from The Greeting Farm Stamps.
I made this card for a friends, little boy's first birthday. So I used baby paper, from Daisy Bucket Designs Star Kissed Collection called Star Mile in the background. I love how it matches the plaid in his cap as well.
The embellishments, buttons, sentiment and ribbon are all from Stampin Up.

If you love these stamps, my wonderful friend is the only Australian supplier. Take a look at her shop The Stamp Spot and check out all the other goodies she has too.

That's it from me today.
Thanks for taking a look.
Hope you are having a fantastic Good Friday.

3rd post for the day...and one more to come.

Isn't she gorgeous...
I have recently got back into my card making and am having a ball watercolouring.
The image is Miss Anya Dressy from The Greeting Farm.
I paper pieced her top with the same oriental style paper I used in the background.
The flowers and rhinestone brads are from Stampin Up.
I have coloured the flowers to match the orange and red in the background paper.

Thanks for looking

Miss Anya

As promised here a few cards I have done lately.
I can't remember what the patterned paper is as it has been in my stash for ages.
I love the colours in it. The gorgeous image is one from
The Greeting Farm: Miss Anya Dressy.
I love these stamps, so beautiful to colour.

Enjoy your Easter weekend

Mojo in full swing

It seems like forever that my mojo has been away. Pregnancy, settling baby and sorting out life with toddler was more than enough for me to cope with this last year. Now that life has settled itself I am feeling creative once again and enjoying creating cards and other papercraft.
Over the next couple of days I will post photos of my latest creations.

Thanks for looking,
