Fun times, Funny faces.

Good morning and welcome to another week. This year is flying by way too fast. Here's a layout I did on the weekend (very rare for me to have time on a weekend for scrapbooking). I have had these photos for about a year sitting in my photo box just waiting for me to scrapbook them. I love the playfulness of these photos. Dillon sticking his tongue out and monkeying around. So I wanted to make the page quite playful and bright. I also never put 5 photos on a page but wanted to keep them all together. I had lots of fun playing with red paint and used banners as my background. Here is the end result.

Some close-ups

Products used: Sassafrass Cherry Flag Banners; October Afternoon Sidewalks Chip 'n Stick and Flower Sack; October Afternoon Seaside Alpha's; Basic Grey Acid Washed So Sophie Letter Stickers; Kaisercraft Red Paint; Bazill White cardstock and Black Felt Pen.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week.

Nature Scape

Hello beautiful people, hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I'm back with a layout I started about a month ago using up some papers from my stash. Just trying to use them all up. These are MME 'So Sophie'. I love these photos. It looks like we are out in the bush but in fact, we are in Kings Park at the new Nature Scape playground. The kids love it there. They get to play in the water as well as learn about and appreciate their natural surroundings.
Lots of fussy cutting with the side strip, but I love the finished effect.

Close ups: Misting (you can only just see it in this photo)

The flowers are from the new Pink Paislee 'Indigo Bleu' range.

I'll be back with another layout and some cards soon.
Thanks for looking.

Card Patterns Sketch 162

Good evening. Here with another card. This time I was inspired by the sketch over at Card Patterns

Here's my take on  the sketch:

I made this card for my 12 year old niece to let her know how special and beautiful she is. I loved this sketch. So versatile. I even got out my old Stampin Up markers that never see the light of day anymore and spritzed the white background to break up the starkness.

These are the Copic colours I used:

Other products used: My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad Stella & Rose; Stampin Up Markers & Whisper white paper, Silver Spica pen; Corner rounder; Kaisercraft rhinestones; Ribbon.

Thanks for looking and any comments you may leave me.

It's been a long, long time....

Hi there, it's been a long, long time...but I am back!! Since we last met, we've had Christmas, New Years and enjoyed a lovely holiday in Busselton, WA. My eldest has started fulltime school (yay, I'm just a little excited about that!!) and in this last week my husband has resigned from his current job to start his own business. It's definately a year of change and new ventures...both scary and exciting!!!
I hope you will enjoy the journey with me as I blog about life more this year and also my creative happenings.

Here's a layout I did for Anna's Craft Cupboard March Sketch. These are old photo's of our now five and a half year old using the off-cuts of wood daddy didn't need to build a car track and generally being a boy.

Products used: WOW chipboard, MME Lil' Robots papers and embellishments, twine, black felt pen, distressing tool.

I will catch up with you all on your blogs soon.
Take care
