Lollipop Ladies Challenge #12: Licorice Allsorts

Happy Wednesday to you all. It's that time again for another Lollipop Ladies challenge. Wow, these fortnights go so fast. As you can see from the above photo this time around we have Licorice Allsorts to inspire you. Remember you can create anything you like - layouts, cards, off the page.

I made this sweet little box which holds 3x3 notecards.

I was inspired to make this little box using the colours of the Licorice Allsorts. I chose to make a square box to make it look like a Licorice Allsort too, well kind of. I am so into making off the page items at the moment. I really enjoy creating them and giving them as gifts. I used this Basic Grey Phoebe paper I had as the circles reminded me of the round licorice pieces.

Pop on over to the Lollipop Ladies and check out the rest of the DT girls creations. They are awesome. I love seeing what we all come up with each fortnight.

Thanks to everyone who entered our Jubes challenge last week. It was great to see so many of you challenging yourself. I will get to everyone's blog over the next couple of days and finish writing comments to you all. It's wonderful to check out your fabulous creations and I look forward to seeing what you all create for this fortnights challenge.

Have a great day and take care.

Personalised Wedding Card

I was contracted to make this card for some friends of my DH. It is the third wedding card I have made for them and they always ask for a personal, special creation that includes interests and likes of the couple getting married.
This cards requirements was something to do with grapevines and solar cars. I had lots of problems trying to find papers with grapevines on them but found this awesome piece of chipboard by Dusty Attic. I added rhinestones to make some of the grape bunches and add some dimension to the card. I originally wanted to use pearls but could not get the colours I wanted, but I think the rhinestones work nicely and add some bling.
I made the card into an easel so that they can stand it up. Underneath the silver heart is a piece of solar panel that my DH cut out of a solar garden light for me. This is the little piece for the groom's interests. I added the couples names at the bottom using AC puffy thickers.

Thanks for looking and have a lovely day.

Altered Notebooks

Happy Monday friends. I know I haven't had too much on my blog lately but I have been busy creating. These little notebooks I altered for my SIL's for Christmas. I had heaps of fun making them. I chose colours to suit each SIL individually, that's why they are so different. The first one has the Cosmo Cricket Delovely range and the second notebook has Basic Grey Wisteria papers. I won these from Scraphappykat. Thanks Kathie. I weaved some ribbon through the crochet flower to create my own embellishment and added a Prima flower centre which I bought from Marcia at The Stamp Spot. Marcia is currently selling her business, so if you are passionate about your crafting, residing in Australia and interested in running a successful online store head over here.

I will have more to show you soon.
Have a wonderful Monday.
Love and hugs,

Thank You Card

Hand made rolled flowers with glitter.

Woah, it's been way too long since I have posted daily. I made this thank you card in early December and forgot to blog it. Oops!! I think I was so busy preparing for Christmas that blogging just went out the window. Anyway I am back into it now and will share some more creations with you soon, but back to the card above.

I used the yummy Summertime papers by Echo park which I bought from the lovely Marcia at The Stamp Spot. I wanted to make it quite simple and neutral as it was for a very special couple from our church who are like family to us, so it couldn't be too girly. These Echo park papers are perfect for fresh, fun cards. I hand made the rolled flowers and sprinkled lashings of glitter on them. The letters are American Crafts Chipboard glitter letters and the butterflies are from my favourite Martha Stewart punch. I sponged some blue on all the edges and added a couple of rhinestones. You can always do with more bling right!!
Well that's it for now.
I promise to be back soon.

Happy New Year (just a little belated), and I hope 2011 is a blessed and wonderful year for you.
Take care.

Mmmm Sweet Jubes - Lollipop Ladies Challenge #11

It's the New Year and time for another challenge from The Lollipop Ladies. This fortnight we have yummy sweet jubes with the added challenge of glitter/sparkle.

This is my take on the challenge.

A view from the top.

I made this with a special little girl in mind for her birthday which is not too far away now. I think it is so sweet and can be used for anything - jewellery, hair accessories or even notes with her wishes and dreams on them.

I found the tutorial here at Splitcoast Stampers. I used Basic Grey Phoebe papers, lots of Kaiser and Prima rhinestones and SU ribbon. The rub-ons are SU as well. I have had them in my stash for a couple of years so it was good to finally use some of them.

Pop on over to The Lollipop Ladies and see the yummy goodness the design team have done this fortnight. Hope you join us and have a play.
