Hello and welcome to my blog. My goal was to get this blog up and running before the end of the year and wow, it has finally happened. A huge thank you to Marcia at The Stamp Spot who helped me to get this going. I appreciate all your help and know I would never have gotten this off the ground without all your wonderful expertise, so again thank you for everything.

Being my first post I am a little nervous but also excited. Anyway here goes..... Over the weekend I had my last Christmas card class for the year. All the ladies enjoyed themselves and went home with these card creations.

I got the idea for this card from Yvonne Campbell's blog - Campbell Creations. Though I have changed the layout of the card slightly.

The stamp is from Always (Stampin' Up©) and sentiment from Occasional greetings (SU).
The card is Real Red and Whisper White. I created the scallop with the corner rounder punch. The stamps are coloured in with Stamin' write markers in Real Red and Glorious Green.
The ribbon is striped grosgrain again in Real Red.

The inspiration for this card came from Makeesha Byl with the original sketch from Beate Johns' (fresh and fun) weekly sketches.

This card uses Holiday Harmony Designer Series Paper, Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White cardstock. The stamps are from Priceless, Fabulous Flowers and Warmest Regards sets. The flower was put together using two stamped images, layering and offsetting them to create a poinsetta looking flower. I have glittered up the flower and swirls using 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Punches used: 1 3/8", 1 1/4" circle and Designer Label.
All products used are Stampin' Up©.

This is a really simple card which takes little time to put together and is great if you have small scraps of DSP to use up. The sketch came from Amy at Prairiepaperand ink.

Cardstock is Always Artichoke, Whisper White and Wintergreen DSP. Stamped images are from Always and Loads of Love stamp sets. Ribbon is Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain. Ink colours are Certainly Celery and Sage hadow.
All products used are Stampin' Up©.

This is one of my favourite cards which I really enjoyed creating.
The cardstock is Soft Sky and Wintergreen DSP. The stamp is Figures of Speech which I stamped onto the WW card and then layered onto Purely Pomegranate Cardstock which you can't quite see from the photo. The trees were glittered using the 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds. The border around the window was done using different sizes square punches - first using the 1 1/4" and then the 1 3/8" . I blinged the border using the same glitter technique I used on the trees.
The Purely Pomegranate double stiched ribbon was threaded using the slit punch.
All products are from Stampin' Up©.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. Mel, welcome to blogland and thanks for the mention.

Tash told me about these cards last night and now seeing them, they are perfect. She was going on about Sage and Celery together, I couldn't picture it but now I can .... awesome.
